My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights at the Teresita B&B and what a fabulous time we had!!!! The neighborhood is very charming and was a welcome after a busy day in Buenos Aires!!! We loved the cottage and had wonderful breakfasts prepared by Teresita every morning. We also had the pleasure of sharing a dinner one night with Teresa and her husband Raul and Buddha (our driver) and his wife!!! This was a highlight of our trip, all 4 of these lovely people made us laugh and enjoy our trip immensely!!!!!! Ask her about the "stew" I'm not sure what it was called, but talk about YUMMY!!!!!!!!! Let me start by saying, prior to arriving I had put us into the hands of Teresita. She made a sample itinerary
for us and everything she recommended was 100% enjoyable!!! She did an awesome job, not only in her daily service, but in helping to plan our trip!!! She is wonderful!!!!!
Upon arriving Buddha was waiting for us at the airport with our names on a sign - definitely would recommend!!!!! We used Buddha's service for our entire stay and he is absolutely delightful, charming and very knowledgable about BA!!!
Our last day prior to leaving we took a noon cooking class from Teresa which I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Not only was it very enjoyable and delicious, we were very impressed with learning the cuisine for the country and some of her favorites!!! Ask her to make the Milanesas and Bifes a la Criolla- HEAVEN!!!
Also, ask Teresita to take you to the neighborhood store that had great souveniors to bring back from the country!!
Overall, we loved our time there and are so glad we did not opt to stay in the city. In comparison, we thought BA was a MUCH LARGER NEW YORK CITY with many more people and very busy!!! If we return, we would definitely be utitlizing Teresita B&B and Buddha - thanks to them both for a very warm and relaxing
vacation. We had such fond moments with them, upon leaving we invited them both to visit our home in Louisiana!!!!
Review posted on Tripadvisor for Teresita Bed and BreakfastI was born 2 miles from Teresita B&B, a had not returned to the country for over 40 years. I knew that Buenos Aires and its environs would have changed beyond recognition, but was astounded to find an oasis of peace and history in Teresa's lovely B&B. There are shady cobbled streets, local shops, wonderful cafes and restaurants a few blocks away, and all in a safe and peaceful place. Much has been written about the little house and the facilities, the welcome and help that is given to the traveller - we agree with it all. The second we got there we felt at home. Altogether we spend 10 days in Casa Teresita.
The best thing, apart from the wonderful hospitality, the superb breakfasts, the knowledge and helpfulness of Teresa and her family is the opportunity Teresita's gives the traveller to rest and relax from the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, yet knowing that the attractions of the bic city are less than half an hour away. As I said to Teresa and her family - we were very sad to leave and we WILL be back. Muchas gracias Teresa.

Dear Teresita & Raul,
How are you? We had luck and could get on the flight to Paris and from there to Tel Aviv, on the same day. Alon and me can't thank you enough for the wonderful time we had at your B&B and the delicious breakfast you made us.
Your B&B is like paradise. The beautiful wild garden, just the way I like it, and the room so tastefully furnished. You really have a lot of taste.
You and your Husband are very special people and we will never forget you. We would like to stay in touch with you, if it's o.k.? Our vacation in Argentina was something out of this world. We have so beautiful fotos of the Glaciers, El Calafate, Bariloche, Buenos Aires and Iguazu.
But for now, as promised, I will send you fotos of the B&B "La Ninfa" at the Amalfi coast in Italy.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards
Gina & Alon
Hello Teresita, Doctor and Buda:
We are safely back home in Montana -- full of pleasant memories of our stay at the Teresita B&B and our travels through beautiful Argentina. We would especially like to thank you good people for playing such an important role in making our visit so memorable -- from providing such lovely accommodations and tasty breakfasts, to helping us define a travel itinerary (with map), to Buda's very special driving services. All in all, a perfect holiday experience for us, and a greater appreciation of the many wonderful attractions that await visitors to your country. But most impressive were the people that we met along the way -- starting with you folks. It was a travel experience that we will always cherish, and we thank you for making us feel so welcome in your home, and in Argentina.
Mary prepared her first batch of empanadas yesterday (following Teresita's recipe) and is now refrigerating them in anticipation of serving them for lunch tomorrow. I'm quite certain "Adrogue Empanadas" are destined to become staples in Mary's cache of special food recipes. And you can imagine the Teresita-related stories that she will tell when serving them to dinner guests!
With our warm regards and appreciation,
Don and Mary Shaughnessy
I took the 3-day South American cooking class with Teresita and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, intimate, hands-on cooking experience! I am a young woman who is traveling alone in Argentina and Teresita - who is friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable about South American cuisine - immediately welcomed me into her home and kitchen. While chatting, listening to music, and sampling typical Argentine wines, she gave me private cooking lessons on typical dishes from Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil. The luncheons in Teresita's beautiful garden were a perfect way to end each lesson. For people interested in cooking and having a unique experience in a cozy Argentine home, Teresita's cooking lessons are a "must-do." I have already recommended her to many of my family members and friends. Thanks Teresita!

Hi Teresa,
At last we've got our feet back on the ground!
Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely little house and for making us so welcome. As you know, this was a really important trip for Ian, revisiting the land of his birth, and you made it into such a friendly and enjoyable experience from beginning to end. So we are both very grateful to you!
We had a good journey home, but it took a long time, with many hours waiting at airports and for buses so we were very tired. We had an interesting time bringing wine back: we bought 6 bottles of "Del Fin Del Mundo" malbec at the duty free, but found that at Milan we were not allowed to carry it on board and had to check it in as hold luggage. We took it to the "special packages" check in, but when we got to Heathrow the baggage handlers put it in with the regular baggage and it was thrown out of a chute onto the conveyor belt with a huge crash! Wine poured everywhere, and we were sad that we would have no wonderful wine to share with our family, but luckily only 1 bottle was broken..... so we still have 5 precious bottles! We will savour them, and remember sitting round your table drinking wine with you both!
Thanks again, love to you both and to Tiny!

This was a wonderful place to stay--very peaceful and relaxing. Teresa was very accommodating and helpful in getting places and finding cultural things to do; she arranged tango classes which was great. She was great in teaching cooking classes--a great way to learn to cook Argentine meals and use it later at home. This was an excellent deal and a great way to really experience the people and culture of Argentina. It would be hard to find a better deal. The location was fine, and it is easy enough to get transportation to other places. It is about a five to ten minute walk to stores and to a major train line. I would recommend this place to anyone.

My wife and I had the privilege to stay at Teresita’s Bed and Breakfast for a total of eight days. Teresita’s B & B is located in Adrogue, a suburb of Buenos Aires, about 25 minutes by train from Constitucion station. The location met our needs perfectly because Adrogue is a quiet little town with lots of amenities, such as internet cafes (some with WiFi) and good restaurants. Also, the quaint, delightful cabin situated in Teresita’s back yard was probably much more enjoyable than anything available downtown.
Teresita and her family are fabulous people. Teresita gave us much of her personal time – more than required of her - to provide directions and information about Buenos Aires, find a hair salon, arrange boat tickets to Uruguay and much more. Moreover, we were fortunate to have visiting members of her family include us in their activities. We celebrated New Years Eve with them and on another day, experienced a home-cooked parrilla.
Our stay at Teresita’s Bed and Breakfast truly enriched our stay in Argentina. (Teresita y Raul, gracias por todo!)

My fiance and I stayed at Teresita at the end of our 3 week trip around Argentina and we could not have chosen a more wonderful location to chill out before coming home. Having chosen Teresita as we wanted a change from the hustle and bustle of BA, the location is even more wonderful than the photos portray. We received a lovely warm welcome from Teresa after a hassle free transfer and the guesthouse was in a beautiful garden setting and contained everything we could have needed. Teresa gave us lots of advice and directions for getting around the charming town and even arranged a salon appoinment and a lesson at the local tango school which we thoroughly enjoyed. My only regret was not being able to stay longer here and would recommend that anyone considering a trip to BA should stay here, its a real gem!

I am back home in the United States and I just wanted to say thank you again for such a wonderful week in Adrogue! Your house is so beautiful and I was lucky to enjoy it, if only for a week. Thank you for making me feel so welcome! I plan on returning to Argentina soon, possibly next December and I will definitely be interested in staying again.
Hasta pronto!

Hello Teresa,
I am home in San Jose. It was wonderful staying at your B&B and I loved learning how to make empanadas and chipa guazu! You made my stay in BA very enjoyable and I am eager to return as soon as I can find an inexpensive flight. It was so enjoyable to relax in your magical garden and listen to the canary. Next time I hope I can take a wine education course and maybe have my backback copied.
I had quite a time with the wine I bought from LaCava -- I totally forgot about no being allowed to have any liquids as carry on and the security xray didn't say anything even though I told him I had wine in the box! So they took the box from me just before I boarded -- needless to say the box did not have sufficient padding since I thought I would carry it on. Next time I will ask Senor Garcia to pack bottles to survive checked luggage since that is the only way to bring it to the US. I have to check the bottles for cracks since the box was dumped on to the baggage carousel in San Francisco -- oh well it made for an interesting time.
I will be very busy with work for the next month or so but I hope to squeeze
in time to make empanadas.Best,
Phyllis

I just returned last week from a four day stay at Teresita B&B in Adrogue, a lovely suburb of Buenos Aires. This is a gem of a place for those willing to commute into the city center. Tere and her husband, Raul, the owners, are kind, warm, intelligent and great natives of Buenos Aires, to be around during a stay. I had a wonderful time talking and relaxing with them in the restful backyard of their home. The town of Adrogue is very homey and easy to get around. Teresita is very helpful if you need direction on where to go and how to get somewhere. I found the train from Adrogue to BA so simple and very inexpensive. Reservations and communications were a breeze via email. The cottage was comfortable, clean and peaceful. Tere's daily continental style breakfast is delicious. Buddha, their neighbor, is also great company and I recommend his services for transfers to and from the airport. Great people, a beautiful setting near a fascinating metropolis - need I say more. I had a wonderful time. I only wish I could have stayed longer. (review posted on www.tripadvisor.com - online travel site)

Teresita,
Tom and I wanted to convey to you and Raul how much we enjoyed our visit with you all. You are a most wonderful host and hostess.
Our trip to Argentina surpassed any of our expectations. Most of all that was because of the personal attention that you gave us. We saw the sights through your eyes and that gave us a greater depth of the country and culture. We will be back!!

Buenos Aires City was incredible but when we found ourselves seeking escape from the heat and pollution we happened upon this B&B on the net. At first we thought it was too far out of the way but on second review we decided this is just what we needed. Theresa made it so easy by sending Buddha (her neighbour) to come collect us and take us to her place for around $15 us. Buddha greatly deserves his name. He smiled from the chest outward and made us feel confident in our choice long before we arrived. Theresa was there to greet us at the gate and show us through to our gorgeous little guest house surrounded by gardens, birds, a pool, bbq pit and herb garden. We couldn't have been happier. She made all our dinner reservations, (when we weren't bbqing) insuring someone could speak a little english to help us out. Our first dinner was at Salustiana. We still dream of it to this day. We should mention we were practically the only touristas in that small suburb and got to be known by many locals as Los Canadienses. Theresa also found us Tango lesson a short distance away which we thought we had left behind in BA.
Every morning we breakfasted on fresh fruit, homemade jam, tea, and toast to the sound of birds chirping. Every afternoon we skinny dipped by the pool or read under the shade of our flower lined porch. In the evening we tango danced, dined and walked the quaint streets meeting friendly people on every corner.
What else can we say? In short we felt like family and had a lot of privacy all at the same time. We can't wait to return.

Hi Teresita
Just a line to thank you for making our first visit to your country so enjoyable. The accommodation was lovely and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Maybe we will manage to return one day. We are now adjusting to the cold English winter but spring is just round the corner. We hope all is well with you.
(review posted on an online travel site by Jean and Brad) "The friendly welcome started when we were met at the Airport and driven to Terisita, a lovely, secluded self-contained unit in the garden of the main house. This was our first trip to Argentina and the helpful advice of our hostess, enabled us to discover the main attractions in Buenos Aires in our 4 day stay. We arrived in torrential rain but this soon cleared up to give pleasant sunny weather to enhance our stay and enable us to enjoy breakfast on the terrace each morning.
We would recommend Terista for anyone wanting to enjoy Buenos Airies without staying in the hustle and bustle of the centre. Good, cheap transport is available to take you into the centre and Terisita is situated close to shops, restaurants and other amenities. This is a particularly good place to stay if you are not fluent in Spanish as Terisita speaks good English and will advise you about how gain the maximum enjoyment from your stay."

We had a great trip and enjoyed your country very much. We want to come back and do the southen half next year. We enjoyed meeting Celleste and all the people she works with. Attached is the picture I took of you standing in your doorway.
